Startup Landscape in Ghana

Ghana has over 5,866 startups across the country. Of these, 519 are funded companies that have collectively raised $5.16B in venture capital and private equity. A total of 386 investors have participated in 563 funding rounds, with 24 startups securing early-stage funding and 14 raising late-stage funding. In the last five years, 723 new companies have been founded, raising over $1.23M in funding. Startups in Ghana have witnessed 42 acquisitions and 32 IPOs, while 1,567 startups wrapped up operations. Additionally, 108 companies have been founded by women.
